Over the weekend we celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary. Wow!
When we got married in 1996 at 18 (me) and 20 (Eric), everyone's first thought was I was pregnant. NOT! The second thought was we wouldn't make it past the first couple years.
Well, we proved them ALL wrong. We did the 2 PLUS another 10. And shooting for a ton more. :)
It doesn't seem like we've been married for 12 years (it seems longer). Eric is my opposite. We have very different interests and talents, yet we have complemented each other almost perfectly. Where one of us lacks the other makes up. Because of him I have expanded my horizons and explored new worlds. I have gained a love (not yet a passion) for basketball and I enjoy a good (and only occasional) quad ride through a muddy trail. He is very compassionate and soft-hearted, especially when it comes to children. He can be silly and loves to tease (it took a while to fully appreciate this one). He works hard so I can stay home with our boys. He's the best dad two little munchkins could ask for. He loves to wrestle, play "the monster," jump on the trampoline, and tickle. He is the killer of bugs...our HERO.

One month after we started dating
We didn't take any pictures to document our date this year. We got a sitter for the kiddos and went out for dinner & a movie. We grubbed on some sushi at Ooka in downtown Riverside and then caught our flick, the new Batman movie. (Good movie...if you liked the last one, you've GOT to see this one).
