Fourth of July

We spent the 4th in San Clemente with my sister Erin and her fiance Kenny. Kenny's grandma has a beach house (that's right - right on the beach) and decided to share their private piece of heaven with us lunatics. The weather was perfect and the water was warmer than it's been in years. Who could ask for more. We made a weekend out of it.

Can you spot the other set of identical twins? They belong to Kenny's cousin (they're 4). There's hope our boys will make it past 2!

They boys weren't too keen on going in the ocean. The waves broke right on the beach so it was REALLY loud. This was the only way we got them in.

Drew was brave enough to go near the water, but Brandon was content to stay on dry sand. I guess we need to go to calmer beach to see if that will have a different impact.

Eric even made a puppy to entice the boys near the water. Guess it wasn't cute enough...

We stayed for the fireworks show(s). I didn't get any pictures because we were too busy snuggling to stay warm while we were enjoying the fabulous display. (Sorry to all you Oceanside goers who got fogged out). From where we sat on the beach we saw the San Clemente fireworks to the south, Dana Point to the north, and Laguna to the northeast. Truly a spectacular sight. The boys enjoyed most of the three shows, but were running on fumes and were eager to get to bed.
