We joined the fun on Friday morning after spending Turkey day with my family. We drove out from my sister's in San Clemente which sent us on an entirely different route than we're accustomed to traveling. All I can say is I'm surprised the boys and I made it without vomitting. It was a twisty, windy road that should have never been paved! The boys cried/whined A LOT and I had to keep my eyes closed just to survive. But, alas, we made it to our spot sans barf.
My in-laws were LIFESAVERS and let us stay in their trailer {again}. Thankfully they understand how silly it is to set up a tent for just one night. {I HATE SWEEPING DIRT OUT OF TENTS!}
The boys were anxious to go for a ride, so Daddy & Grandpa took off as soon as everybody was able to get their gear on. I only got a picture of Drew with Grandpa - Eric & Brandon were off like a flash.
My sister, Erin & her fiance, Kenny came out Friday evening and stayed the night. On Saturday I took Erin on a little ride on the quads and discovered that I don't like being the leader. I am way more comfortable being the follower in that kind of setting. Oh well, we survived despite my apprehension. Once we returned, the guys headed out on a new trail for a lengthy ride. Eric had a couple of friends {Chad & Mike} and Kenny ride quads while everyone else rode motorcycles. I hear they had a great time and were ready to sleep once they got back.
I was able to go on a little ride with the boys. Whoever gets stuck with me doesn't usually have a great time now that they're taller than they used to be. The bottom of my helmet usually knocks theirs around and probably gives them a bit of a headache. They'll probably be ready to ride their own mini quads next year. {SIGH}
Andrew was having a blast with the bulldozer he got for his birthday from Uncle Val & Aunt Sherri
This is the best picture I got of Brandon. He was a bit sick and managed to avoid the camera at every possible turn.
The boys LOVED their cousin's jeep. They were too little last year to really understand how it was supposed to work. They figured it out. Drew is definitely a better driver than Brandon, but he still has a LONG way to go before I'll drive with him.
That's Drew's legs hanging over the door of the Jeep. He was pushing the gas pedal with his hand and the Jeep kept going in circles. It was funnier to watch live than re-live through a picture. He did this while everyone was recovering from a ride in the shade. They were all laughing hysterically at his antics.
