New Beds

A couple of weeks ago I FINALLY converted the boys' cribs into "big boy" beds. I got tired of looking for deals on twin size beds and figured that this was the best money-saving option since there isn't a baby needing a crib in our house. I tackled this task on my own with the help of two curious little boys. I wish now that Eric was there to take pictures of how UN-helpful the boys were. They were trying to climb on the mattress base while I was trying to balance it on one knee and screw it back in to place. I'd yell and they'd just laugh... At least they got some entertainment out of it.

The beds were transformed by naptime and the boys did pretty well. Andrew only rolled off the bed when it was time to wake up. It took a few days before Brandon rolled off the bed two consecutive nights in the middle of the night. Since then, they've been sleeping like old pros.

This is the morning after their first night in their new beds. It was cute - they were so excited about the new set-up that they were content to just play in bed. Andrew actually posed for his picture when I asked him to pretend like he was sleeping. So cooperative, sometimes.

Andrew has this newfound fear of the window. Every morning he tells me he's scared and that there's a monster outside. So we go through the ritual of opening the window to show him there's nothing to be scared of. That usually calms him down.

Okay... your boys are amazing that they stayed in their cribs for SO long! You'll have to check out my blog to see what I mean. Claire is an animal! Can't wait to hear all about your cruise. We'll get together after our move this weekend.
