We participated in Halloween

A shock, I know, but some friends invited us to go trick-or-treating with them and we couldn't refuse. Actually, the dads all stayed behind to pass out candy (and watch a game) while the moms marched the kids through the neighborhood begging for candy. Thankfully the kids were sufficiently bored & tired within 45 minutes.
