What better way to celebrate than with the birth of our second niece!
YIPPEE!!
Eric's sister, Valerie gave birth this morning at 12:34 to a baby girl - Lucy Jo who weighed in at 5 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 inches long. I don't have any pictures because she is in the NICU. She had a difficult birth which resulted in low heart rate, a torn lung, and shock - BUT SHE'S OK. I'm jealous of my sister-in-law...when I saw her this afternoon she didn't look like she'd been in labor all day yesterday and certainly didn't reflect the midnight birth - she actually got some sleep this morning. We can't wait to meet our little niece. Keeping our fingers crossed for Sunday.

I didn't even know she was pregnant! A torn lung? That sounds terrible!! Glad she's going to be ok!!
