This snow is from WAY back in February. We braved the drive up to Big Bear without chains hoping we wouldn't be turned away; it had rained/snowed the night before. Thankfully the roads were clear and relatively ice-free allowing us to reach our destination - a tobogon place just down the hill from Snow Summit.
The boys thought this was as exciting as it was gonna get
Drew just wanted a free ride
Eric & Brandon checking out the hike
The maiden voyage
Mr. Cool wanted to ride down on his own
That little speck is Eric & Brandon on the way down the hill
{this WAS NOT the time Eric & Brandon plowed into Laura & Drew -thanks to a defective intertube we couldn't generate enough speed to get all the way down the hill. When you follow too close, an accident is bound to happen}
The snow was deep but no boot casualties
...and then the war began
I think Brandon won...
Just loungin'
Drew thinks snow is DELICIOUS
he even loved to mush his face in it
wonder who taught him that?
The stairs we had to climb to get to the top of the hill. It got exhausting {and hot} lugging the intertube & a child at the same time
we finally got the boys to pull their own weight
they thought they were going to die
Once down the mountain, we stopped at Pat & Oscar's in San Bernardino. The boys went NUTS for the ducks hanging out right outside the restaurant. Brandon tried to hug one and sent them all squaking away.

So cute! The boys are so big. I can't believe what a few months did to them! So fun. We miss you guys!
